The same academy, without geographical limits

Online training at Academia de Șah is delivered live on Zoom (for instruction), with practical activity and competitions on Chess.com. Students can join from age 5, regardless of city or country. We have groups for children and juniors as well as adults.

We use the same curriculum as our physical centres, and online groups are small so the coach can follow every game and give individual feedback. One-to-one sessions with Academy masters are also available.

Questions about online lessons

How do online chess lessons work?

Live on Zoom with the coach, in small groups organised by level. Games and exercises are played on Chess.com and the coach analyses them together with the children.

What does my child need for online lessons?

A laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection and a free Chess.com account. We help with the setup in the first lesson.

From what age can children join the online lessons?

From age 5, provided an adult is nearby during the first lessons to help with the technical side.

Who coaches online?

Adrian Musat, Irina Cioara (Greabca), Vlad Tomescu, Vladimir Buzescu and Ioana Otetea. The same coaches who teach in our Bucharest centres.

How much do online lessons cost?

Is there an online trial lesson?
